The meeting house built in 1660 which it just on the west side of the common was sold to the Baptists early in the last century. The benches and other fittings have been removed but there are still some signs of the old meeting house in the front part when the author visited in the 1990's.

After the 1652 tour of the North West when Quakerism became established with the help of Margaret Fell, George Fox "returned to Friends in Warwickshire", I could have been to here!

See references in George Fox's Journal. In it he referes to 'Baxsterly' that was here althought that name is now a neighbouring village
