The Friends Historical Society is dedicated to encouraging the study and sharing of knowledge about the Religious Society of Friends it history and development and about related individuals and organizations. This is from an educational and academic aspect rather than the religious or faith based approach

  • We promote an annual lecture which is usually held during Britain Yearly Meeting.
  • Publish a journal and books from time to time.
  • We encourage local groups to host appropriate lectures and meetings.
  • We publicise other relevant events within our subject area.

AGM and Annual Lecture
The AGM and The Annual Lecture of the Society is usually held during Britain Yearly Meeting. The Annual Lecture is usually published in a later Journal. As always this occasion is a good opportunity to make contacts with others interested in the history of the Religious Society of Friends.
